The car idles normal when I first start it(cold or warm it's still the same) and only when i first start it. As soon as I put it in gear and start driving the rpm jumps up to about 1500 when I put the clutch in to take it out of gear when braking. So when I'm stopped it sits at 1500 and sometimes goes up to about 2000. I tried shutting off and starting it again to see, and it does the same thing: idles normal until i put it in first and start moving even just a few feet and it jumps up again when I put the clutch in. I installed a fujita cai intake about two weeks ago, could this be the source of the problem? I plan on taking it in tomorrow for an oil change and have them look at it. I just wanted any information anyone can tell me, so I have an idea of what the problem may be.

 

Yea, i was having similar issue. I have stage 2 and my engine idles at around 1k warmed up

 

Idk if this is really the same situation but one time i started mine up and it was idleing high and my dad told me to tap the gas a few times and it stopped. Its never done it again like i said idk if this is the same thing

 

I only have an intake. These cars are so sensitive. But anyways, it went away after I took it to the dealer. I asked them to check CEL code and they told me I had nothing wrong with my car, and suddenly it wasn't happening anymore. lol The CEL came back but the weird idle stopped.

Mine is almost the opposite. It idled normal after start up. But after a little driving it goes up when stopped or parked. But it went away so I still don't really have any idea of what caused it or how it went away lol
