remove the 2 screws holding the metal part that clicks into the trunk its on the bottom of the trunk lid and then theres a clip shaped like a u and u pull it out and the lock will pull right out i think thats it unless im forgotting a step but im trading trading my trunk out tommorw i bought a new one from hockeyman and im gonan install it tommorrow my day off

allright i did the trunk change its 3 screws holding in the lath that clicks into the trunk to lock it take those off pull the u clip out of the trunk lock and then u can pull the trunk lock out of the front of the trunk and paint it black and put it inside ur new trunk thats what i did but that damn u clip is a bitch to put back in
