Idle Problem???

Ok I have an 07 LSJ completley stock with 42k miles. When me A/c is off there in no idle problems at all. when the A/C is on the rpms drop faster in between shifts and when coming to a stop the rpm bogs down to like 500 then comes up to 1200 and then finds idle at 800. I took it into the dealership and they reccomended an injector and throttle body cleaning. This solved the problem for a week and a half so now im back where i started. the only thing I can think of is maybe the EGR hose ( I think thats what its called) that goes from the Valve cover to the intake Is spewing a ton of crap into there fouling up the throttle body. I know some people say that the throttle body needs some carbon on it to work corrrectly, and I don't belive this to be true because one It didn't do this brand new with a clean throttle body and two It didn't do this after it was cleaned. I havent had a chance to check for crap coming out of the tube yet. If this is

If there Is a ton of stuf spewing into the Intake Is this an indication of something bad going on in the motor?

What else could possible be wrong because like i stated when the throttle body was cleaned a week ago it solved the problem but now its back?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated thanks

Well, EGR stands for exhaust gas return and Cobalts don't have it.

What you're thinking of is the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) hose, which vents excess crankcase gases back into the intake.

The same thing happens to me sometimes, but I have the 2.2 engine. I generally ignore it, since it hasn't really caused any problems.

You could try taking the intake off and have a look at the throttle body to see if it looks overly dirty.

My car idles rougher with the A/C on too, it's no bother to me though. If you think the TB is dirty, SeaFoam it (if you want to do it the lazy way), or take it off the car and legitimately clean it with TB cleaner, only use special cleaner made for a TB, other **** will **** it up.

My buddy sprayed something (I forget what it was, this was like 2 months ago, some cleaner though) down his TB on his DSM, and it fucked it all up, gave it bad idle surge. Just make sure you use special TB **** and youre good.

Have you got to much oil in the engine can be an issue.
May be you have to much blow by on one of your cylinders causing a lot of excess pressure venting back into the throttle body. Or a intake gasket leak if its a SS/SC you drive.

Could be many things,Need more info.

ok well i checked the pcv hose and there was a little crap in there but not so much that it would concern me so I cleaned it out. I then inspected the throttle boddy and it looks super clean. Are there any sensors in there that may be screwed up? I know that when you turn on the a/c the car should raise the idle or opern the TB a little more to compensate it seems like its not doing this. any one else have any Ideas?
