ignition key stuck

My car only has 695 miles and the interlock solinois is broken. Dealer states this is a common problem and I say thank god for warranties. How about that GM quality you got to love it.

Nice first post.

Oh no, something broke and the dealer fixed it without giving me any issues whatsoever, or charging me a thing. OH NOOOO!!!!

My ignition is acting up, and I have 7000 miles. I call the dealer also and they said this has been happening. The car goes in the shop thurs. Who has this happen to so far?

if the keys stuck in the ignition its probably the shifter assembly.

Yup.....I've replaced a TON of them at work....Cobalts, HHR's, and some Aveo's. There's actually a button on the bottom of the steering column to release the key if it gets stuck

Between powersteering units and transmissions GM has to be losing tons on these cars.

Sunburst_ss do those steering units look new to you or re-maned? Cause if my guess isn't too far off theyre just off the assembly line units. We've had one come back after it was replaced once already.

I'm assuming they are just a revised part....probably just redisigned and shipped out from the assem. line sorta like the new intermediate shafts for all the trucks.
