Was about to install the SS DP and rain into trouble with various things.

Here are a list of questions that i would like to be answered if can before tomorrow morning cause i only have access to a garage and all tools tomorrow.

1. Is the 2.2 O2 sensor thread the same thread and fitment as the SS DP?

2. Is there a how-to for the ss DP installing on 2.2 or 2.4? ( i searched alot before posting)

3. The O2 sensor is on the right side of the 2.2 dp, its on the left side of the SS DP, what is the best way to move it over to the other side?

4. When moving to the other side, what is the best way to keep the wire off the exhaust pipe so it doesnt burn?

I am always on AIM (dragonmasteramn) and it would be fastest if someone IMs me on there or even call 386-983-0837

I don't think there is any difference between the SS and '07 2.2 downpipes diameter wise. I believe only the '05 and '06's had a smaller downpipe.

 

07s are 1.75 and ss is 2.5 (2.25 at exit)

im just really curious about the o2 sensor thread if it will fit in the SS dp

 

have u tried to take the sensor out and see if its threads into the downpipe? also is your downpipe from SS/SC or just SS balt? The part #'s are different for sensor no.1, all three are different. So its just a quick take the old one off ur car as it stands try it in the downpipe...yo'll know right away if it threads in good. Also check for clearence issues...the pipe is bigger for SS/SC

 

i think the ss/sc and the ss/na have the same exhaust setup

 

it is the lsj dp. its good on clearance with the firewall i was just unsure about the O2 sensor fitment and if it was clipped onto the tranny. the wire goes to a lil gray adapter like but looking at other pics, it looks like a lil black clip just holding it there so it doesnt dangle over the place. so if i pop that off, i'll be able to move it to the other side cause this dp has the hole on the other side than the 2.2.

still waiting to get a good time to go to a shop and get it installed on base.
