Interceptor caught a code!

I checked my interceptor as I thought it might have been crapping out on my. When I checked the code section of the interceptor it read p0171. I searched on here and there seems to be a lot of information on it but one page reads one thing but another reads a totally different cause...

The car doesn't seem to be working any different then it did before and I'm not getting a CEL on the DIC. Is there any cause for concern or should I just delete it?

Thanks

i believe thats bank 1 lean check to make sure your intake clamps r tight oil cap is down all the way dip stick is down, any false air going into the motor after the maf will cause a lean condition, and im pretty sure the code is lean condition...

the code is stored on the computer's memory for awhile. sometimes it will stay hidden because it does not happen often or much at all. if your CEL light is not on, dont worry about it too much

If you are fairly stock with an intake then this is a common code that is thrown. If you are tuned via HPTuners then I would definately look at or redue your tune. You don't want to be the 3rd LSJ that has become a victom of cold winter air this year.

when I made my intake I had the little breather on the valve cover and it threw that code. I have to have the little tube connected to the intake. Just throwing it in there.

Yeah then you should be okay since you just have an intake. I beleive that there is a service bulletin out for this problem and the dealer will reflash the car for this. I am not 100% sure but I do know that a friend of mine had this problem and the dealer took care of it.

Ok, good to know. The car is scheduled for service on Tuesday. I'll get them to look at it.

I've had the injen of over 6 months now...
I was told that the extreme cold may have something to do with it as well... once it warms up I'm going to check my connections, maf, and clear the code.
