hey my fob stopedworkingt the other day so i took it apart thinkig the batter was bad got to lokking at it and the actual contacts for the battery have come apart from the board. is this something the dealer will replace under warenty? or will they blame this on me not gonna lie the key fell out od my pocket on the ground but i just figured since stuff like that happens alot they would make them a little more beefy
do i even bother going to the dealer or just get one of ebay?

If you're handy with the soldering iron, it would be cheaper just to do a repair on it yourself. If the actual soldered contacts ripped the traces off the board, you can solder in jumper wires to the next solder point along the same trace on the board. Just my thoughts on saving you a couple bucks, cause I do believe they are not cheap items to replace.

This happened to mine too, I was able to tape it together. I couldn't solder it as I use a gun instead of an iron and its too hot.

Try all that before you buy a new one. A new fob and key combo go for about $125.

My current key is bent, and my fob circuit board is broken

I should probably get another soon.

i got my key fob replaced under warranty, it stopped working one day. I didn't mess with it at all, just took it in. If they see you messed with it they might not cover it.

it was like it was just pulled out, i had a piece of card board behind the battery to keep it pushed in but it only worked for a day or so. i was thinking about just going to the dealer to see if they will replace it if not im gonna try my skills at soldering before i buy a new one. you can get them off ebay for 20-30 bucks shiped i belive. im pretty sure you can program them your selves too. i need to reasearch that a little more tho
