My car was leaking oil in the driveway. Since its under warranty I just took it in. Rear main seal is being replaced. 07 SSSC with 12K. Just chalking this one up under the problems section just in case this starts to become a problem.

 

Rear main seal?? Um.........might just be me........but I don't think we have one of those since our engine is mounted sideways. Are you talking about the seal between the engine and the transmission?

 

There is still a "rear" to the engine. The rear of a transversely mounted engine is the end opposite the one with all the pulleys on it. And yes, we still have a rear main seal. ;-)
