limp mode after regap my plug??
limp mode after regap my plug??
yesterday installed my 60lbs injector and retune my car(with my tuner and no wideband)my bgk alt run flawlessly after...so my tuner ask me what is the gap of my plug and the brand/model
i said im that i have brand new ngk BKR6EIX gapped at .40...so he tell me that i have to gap them at .35 because i will do misfire at high rpm( he saw that on the laptop during the tune)..so i did it today carefully regapped my plug at .35 and i was ready to test that...
my god...i just do 1-2-3 and in the middle of the third gear(3/4 trottle) ...my car shutdown and the power reduced mode and cel light came on...
i know there a ton of thing that could cause the limp mode but yesterday everything was good...unplugged my battery and regap them at .40 and no limp mode yet!!!!(after 4 hours of hard test
)
it is possible??? or there another issue

no cell? remember the the brain monitors ignition KV voltage so a change to the gap changes the KV and may have caused you to go into limp mode but i would expect a code to be thrown, was the cell light dissabled with your tune ?
yes ive got a cell but i doesnt scan it(should i do???) my car was running great until i gap my plug to .35,,!!?? i earase it when i unpluged my battery and regap my plug to .40..now now limp mode yet...strange...
