Loose battery terminal

Battery went dead on my trunk battery 09 SS TC. Turned out the negative terminal was loose and disconnected! The damn thing is a flimsy clamp that doesn't really fasten well. Anyone else experience this problem?

It can move when fully tightened. The clamp is pretty thin and only tightens so much. Think it's vibrations..the strap wasn't on, so that may have been it...but the battery is fastened pretty well without it on. I put electrical tape over the top to help keep it from vibrating loose.

your best bet is to cut it off and solder in a new one or crimp one on

go to the auto store and buy a new battery cable clamp, you can buy one that clamps the cable to the terminal, make sure you get the right terminal for the battery post they are diffrent sizes the neg terminal is smaller.
