Low Coolant
Low Coolant
I wonder if anyone else has experienced this, whenever i first start my 07 ss/sc in the morning and its below 25 degrees i get a low coolant message when its full, if had onstar look into it and they found nothing and i havent gotten around to calling up the dealer
Mine came on like twice. I just put some water in it and called it a day.
iv'e been getting that for a while now but everyone says just to add a little more coolant or water and it will go away no me on the other hand have just been igoring it but today im going to paint my fuel rail cover and i think im going to add some more coolant b/c im tried of that dang message evertime a start my car!!!
My car, (2.4) when idleing it was going over 200 degrees, I saw it go up to like 217 degrees...... When ever I rev the engine, that temp. goes down, or it goes down when I start moving. Granted I live in Florida, & don't drive with the AC on too much.
The dealer said it's perfectly normal, until it reaches like 229 degrees, then it will cool itself back off.... because of like 50 lbs. of pressure....
Anybody else have this issue?

I get it like a previous poster said anytime its below 32.... oddly i was runing a pretty good amount of speed today(80+) on a highway and it suddenly poped up out of know where.... but my levels are right where they are supose to be..... sounds like they got a finicky coolant sensor.
I wish I could grab a tuner or a Tech2 and delete that message out of there....along with a few other dummy messages. "LOW WASHER FLUID" "LOW COOLANT" "WEAR YOUR ******* SEATBELT" "WATCH OUT FOR BLIND CHILDREN"
Ok, ok, ok already! This **** ain't K.I.T.T. and I'm definitely not Michael so STFU!
