Whenever im coming to a stop and I push the clutch in, the rpms drop down to about 500rpm, the dash lights go dim, but it bounces right back up. car only has 1000kms on it, any ideas?

 

A lot of the Cobalt SS/SC's do this in varying forms. You can trying searching around for posts about rough idling and rpm hunting to see some of the various solutions and work-arounds members have come up with. You can try taking it back to the dealer (and probably should since they'll look at it under warranty) but don't count on them finding a solution.

Still... as long as it's not hunting like crazy or stalling out I wouldn't worry too much about it.

 

its a 2.4 btw but ill do somemore searching around as well
