Boosting 13.6 lbs w/2.8??

Now that I have my car back up and running I have been driving it lately and noticing the extra power it was from stock, but with a 2.8 I should be boosting 17-18 psi right? Well I am only seeing a max of like 13.6 to 14 at wot and this is with my scan gauge and manual gauge, so any help or suggestions are welcome...

also my iat's got up to about 140* and went down but that was the highest but i wasnt running back to back at all...

2007 Chevy Balt ss/sc
mods in sig...

If you have HP Tuners and you didn't modify the boost limit tables, then you are stuck at near stock boost, yes. If you are unsure of what to do, you should always ask first. Don't just plow into it because you could really screw some things up when modifying the PCM. Also, get some new tires before the sidewalls on one of your blow out and you die.

mine did that when i went to a 2.8.. my tuner had to load the stage 2 (with fuel trims for 60's, of course) into car car, do a couple pulls, then load in my 2.8 tune. do that a few times. he said he pretty much changed small things in the tune until i saw full boost again.

it's an 07 thing.

you could PM 1badBlueberrySC or SCblkRL. they're my tuners.

That isn't coolant temp... that is IAT temps!

Normal coolant temps range from 170*-190ish*

A 140* IAT2 is HIGH

Your tuners sound like they don't really know whats going on if they are loading in a Stage 2 tune (for a car that isn't stage 2, also the stage 2 tune is a HORRIBLE tune), then modifying it, then modifying it, then again, just to get your boost where it should be.

don't get too far ahead of yourself there.....stage tune was the original tune pulled from the car, changes were made to the tune based on the modifications to the car....there is nothing in that tune that is part of the stage tune...the boost is where it should be....just a small quirk of the 07 OS

I've never seen that "quirk" in the 07 lol. Must just be something about the cars you work on.
