MAF Sensor

SO I have replaced my coil packs and already did the spark plugs probably year and a half ago, I bought a new MAF sensor I am trying to install but I cannot find the sensor itself at all.. I took off the drivers side tire and removed some of the fender wall and could not find it at all. Took out the drivers headlight and still could not find it... are there any how to videos or anything showing where this sensor is??

2007 cobalt ss supercharged.

all stock.

in the photo in my hand is the MAF i bought

right below the Positive batter connection I unplugged that hose but there was no sensor in there (based on what I read up it sounded like it may be there in there but it wasn't)

Where is it?

awesome that post worked!

so 2007 ss s/c

185,000 kms

replaced spark plugs year and a half ago roughly, coil packs are brand new, and now the MAF sensor I just replaced now... rpm still is rough though.. any idea what this may be?

Tomorrow when I drive I will check if I get any DTCs.. I did a scan and it shows I am getting some misfires.. (using transponder gauge)

Clean your throttle body. In order to do this, you first need to take off your intake. I bought the car with an after market Cold Air Intake so I'm not sure how the stock looks/is postitioned. the intake goes from your air filter (in front of your drivers side tire under the headlight) to the TB. the TB is located between the super charger and the intake. Once you get the intake off/out of the way, remove the vacume lines, electrical wire, and four bolts from the throttle body. It's a pain to get out but monkey with it a bit and you will get it. Once you have the TB out, be CAREFUL. Do NOT move the plate inside the TB, you will strip the motors it's connected to. Go to an auto store and buy throttle body cleaner, specifically ask for throttle body cleaner, you don't want to use anything else. it's cheap, like 8 bucks. Then, spray inside the TB and wipe around with a paper towel or rag, removing gunk. Again, careful not to move the valve. Once that's done, reinstall everything. Now, when you start The car, it will sound like **** and your display in the car will read "POWER REDUCED". shut the car off, and wait for a few min. Then try starting it again. What you are doing here is letting the comput're that controls the TB reset itself. Try restarting and letting it run for a bit unroll it returns to normal idle. That repair ended all of my idle problems. Hope this helps man, good luck. Let me know if you have any other questions.
