MAF sensor arrow

So i recieved my MAF sensor in the mail today. Someone told me something about an arrow. Now there is an opening on one side of the sensor with the arrow pointing away from that. Which direction does the arrow go...does the arrow show direction of airflow (point up towards engine), or does the arrow point downwards toward the opening......im guessing the opeining has to be towards the filter in order for it to read properly

Unless they designed them differently between the RL and the SS, this is correct.

OK another question..... They shipped the MAF sensor with no bolts...and I need to drill out the bolts from my CAI because they are stripped....Does anyone know what size the bolts and/or where I can get them from!?

You can get them from a hardware store. I don't remember the exact specs, but if you can bring the pipe in with you, you can try them until you find the right size.

For reference; I think the heads on the bolts I put in were 5.5mm

UPDATE---I tried to drill out the screws holding my MAF sensor in and rip the heads off. They were in good. I ended up drilling holes through the screws and re threading them to a 10-32 thread. I put in my new MAF and withing a half hour of driving, my CEL shut off for the first time in over a year lol. I feel quite victorious....for now
