major 06 ss problems for me! HELP
major 06 ss problems for me! HELP
Ok i have had my car for like a week. I got it when it had a little over 400miles on it. I have drove it about 300 myself and im having all kinds of problems. I will list them
1.I have a rattle sound under my car
2.My exhaust is super quite it does not pop or anything.
3.I smell a burnning smell like its misfiring.
4.My rpm's bounce up and down up to 2k and back down like 2-3 times
5.It was cold today and i noticed the exaust fumes coming out under my car some.
6.check engine light on.
7.car ticks anytime you hit the gas.
8.you can floor it and it will atleast chirp second.
9.Seems real slow but i get like 10.5psi

it seems slow to me it is all those problems I say. It is 100% stock. Im taking it in at 1:00pm tommorow i will post back to let everyone know about it. I dont post unless its something thats is crazy that Im not sure one.
So it will go up 2psi after like 2kmiles

tis true, my comp pack redline only pushed 10 till allmost 1,000 miles. then 12.5 on a cold night 13.. now stage 2 with the 3.016 pulley i can boost 16 on a chilly night.. 13 at 3k full throttle..
not to steal your thread, but if anyone can tell me whats wrong with my 06 ss/sc. it is bone stock and has 5k miles and the max boost i achieve is about 10.5 lbs. ive had it in the dealer to check and they said it was fine....any ideas? again dont mean to steal your thread, but i thought i would just ask, because it is on topic. thanks
I took it into the shop today and told them that my light was on and they said it was the gas cap. I told them to take it down the road and told them about all the problems it was having.
Here is what codes I got.
po128 - ECT below thermostat regulation temperature
p0604 - low voltage condition
p0326 - engine knock
p0420 - Catalyst system low efficiency
p0717 - Input speed sensor circuit low voltage
p2431 - Secondary Air Injection System Pressure Sensor A circuit range/performance
(A new catalyst may fail this test within the first 200miles or has been sitting for a while due to out gassing of the internal matting.) If this occurs operate the vehicle at highway speeds for about 1hr and reset.
So what they did is they reflashed my computer system. They told me if the light came back on to bring it back and would replace the cat.
So now it feels faster. I have not really got to test it out any. The car does not jump and stuff anymore it feels normal now my exhaust u can hear it now and my boost now goes up to 12 -12.5psi with 800miles. Feels like a diffrent car now

Sounds like a bad CAT.
Both of mine did the same thing. It is normal. Not all will boost to 12.5psi. Nothing you can do about it.

Both of mine did the same thing. It is normal. Not all will boost to 12.5psi. Nothing you can do about it.

the only exhaust mod is after the factory resonator. 2.5 inch with a magnaflow muffler and a 3inch tip.. the factory set up on my 07 is 2.75 to the rear seats then 2.5 to the resonator inlet.. it was 2.25 out untill the factory muffler with a 4inch tip.. its louder now with a better tone and not to much drone at crusing..
