Misfire and lean cyl 2 rich cyl 4
Misfire and lean cyl 2 rich cyl 4
So, as the title says. I had a misfire code for cyl 2 that would appear on cold a start and randomly disappear on its own, sometimes it would stay on for a day or a few days but would always diappear on its own.
I took it to my mechanic and he said it was lean and melting the plug on cyl 2 and rich on cyl 4. He replaced the plugs and switched the coil packs between cylinders and gave it back to me to drive and bring back so he could get a better read on the plugs.
A week went by and it misfired once more on a cold start, so I brought it back and he said he could find nothing wrong and wants to do some more research and gave it back. Since then it has not misfired again.
He seems to be concerned about the carbon build up on the cylinders as he says they look "sloppy" but says the valves look ok.
I had the valves cleaned by Powell and the oil seperator installed a year ago.
With all that said I'm just looking for as many opinons as I can get on what the issue could be.
