More Carbon

heres a pic of the serious carbon im getting. I email scott at intense and he assured me that the pcm was set. Hes sending me a new set of spark plugs maby the old ones are bad or not gaped right. he wants me to take the injen off tho, says it may be messing up the pcm. This is what its doing every start up

I get a little bit at start up but mines up where the mufflers meets the resonator section. I have a small leak I need to fix but its not that bad.

well intense pretty much told me flat out that im to rich, and its the injen intake that causing the pcm to go haywire because its destorting the MAF. So looks like itl be the air box mod for me

I don't know about that bro!
1st of all there are many guys with Intense tunes and an intake without carbon issues.
2nd, an intake would make you run lean not rich.
3rd, I have an Injen CAI and my MAF is fine along with most other people.

Yeah thats where i get confused, i was running fine until i took it into the dealer to have a clutch put in. now he said he didnt reflash it but how knows for sure. But when i went on intense to look and see it said they if they reflashed it all the info would be gone. Its running ok, and it still redlines at 7 grand. Its just insainly rich. When i got it back from the dealer i felt a serious loss in power. But i bein retraining the pcm for hard driving little buy little and ive gotten most of the power back.

Yeah man I don't get it. I wish I could help but like I said a couple posts ago, most people are fine. Even if they reflashed your PCM a 2.8" pulley wouldn't run that rich.
I'm sorry bro, I don't know. The only other thing I can think of is your CAT is shot and it's letting a lot of carbon through the exhaust. Stock CATs are notorious for failing even when your stock. Now that you have stage 3 chances are that's what it is.

I have the same problem but no where near that, I know some exhaust systems have water that travels out of the pipes and at times sprays at WOT. I have to ask, what Octane are you putting in the car? If you put 91 in the car that's your first problem. **** gas does that mostly, not what has been altered to the car.

got the tune, running fine no carbon. Took to the dealer to have clutch done. Carbon started happening. scott at intense assured me my tune was fine because if they reflashed it the the engine would be running like poo and my rev limiter of 7 grand would be gone. adits all still there.

1) Car sat too long off
2) Bad Tank of Gas
3) Gummed up Exhaust system
4) Car was ran really hard as of late
