Need advice on whether or not to repair this myself

Hi there guys, I'm a new user who recently bought a used 2006 Cobalt SS 2.4L with 120k miles on it. I've been driving it a few months and then it started shifting hard and the check engine light came on along with the T/C light.

Anyway, I took it to autozone a few days ago and got them to run a free scan on it. The codes it output were: P0014 and P1174. So I looked it up and found this:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-...8/#post6772259
doesn't seem to hard to do myself. However, my father suggested I take it to a repair shop and get it fully checked out.

That brings me to today, I just got a call back from the repair shop and this is what they said:

Running lean: replace 4 fuel injectors + reflash

Needs an oil flush

one camshaft actuator for the exhaust valve is not funtioning properly

one oxygen sensor needs replacing.

Overall cost: $1082

I'm trying to decide if I should just buy the parts and try to fix it myself. I've researched it, but I'm still unsure if I'm correct on what I need to change.

For the fuel injectors, I found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-YEAR-WARRANTY-GENUINE-OEM-DENSO-FUEL-INJECTOR-SET-4-05-08-Saturn-2-2-2-4-/190824138711?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2006%7CModel%3ACobalt%7CSubmodel%3ASS&hash=item2c6e0147d7&vxp=mtrI'm not sure how to change them, but someone told me it wasn't too advanced.

The oil flush I am definitely doing myself since it's so simple, so we can mark that off the list.

For the Camshaft actuator I'm just guessing that it's covered in that guide I posted earlier. I found this part: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GM-Exhaust-Camshaft-Position-Soleniod-Actuator-Malibu-Equinox-Pont-G5-G6-Regal-/221192272187?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item338016393band I think that's all that needs replacing. I'm not positive on that though.

As for the oxygen sensor, I think they're referring to this part: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-OEM-GM-Mass-Airflow-Sensor-MAF-Intake-Air-Flow-15865791-12576410-213-4222-/161023624714?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item257dc1860a&vxp=mtrWhich was also covered in the guide I mentioned earlier.

Overall those parts would cost me around $250 and I have access to all the tools I need to replace them. That's a far shot from their quote of $1082!

So, my overall question is this: what is your opinion on changing these parts? Is it too advanced for a moderately equipped person, or should I try to fix it myself?

Also, do those parts match up to their description of what's wrong? Am I missing anything?

Thank you for taking the time to read through my questions!

oxygen sensor is in the exhaust, you have 2. 1 before and 1 after the cat.

the mass airflow is in the intake, where the intake tube meets the filter box. different animal.

Thanks Dave, I'm still pretty new to fixing up cars, so I'm really shooting in the dark here.

After some research, I can't seem to find any guides on changing the o2 sensors, could someone point me in the right direction?

Edit: These wouldn't happen to be the parts would they?

That simple huh? Well I think I'm going to go pick my car up from the repair place and try to fix it myself. Maybe I can get them to list out the parts I need to make it easier for me. Thanks for the input guys.

Didn't take the time to read through, but all of these are very very simple and ridiculously overpriced at a shop. I have a full picture tutorial on the Camshaft Actuator Solenoids, and can answer any questions about the rest of what you mentioned, if you still have them.
