need help dip stick keeps popping out
Just an FYI, some shops still have had the old gasket in inventory and have been using that to do the repair with. It absolutely must be the new style with the new sealing method.
Yep , you have to find the cause of the over pressure. A breather is just giving the air another place to release from.
I had the same problem and mine came from a bad cyclinder. You could fit a screwdriver between the piston and the cyclinder. That led to a rebuild. Rebuild isn't done yet so to see if its fixed is still tbd.
yes it does. but it's built into the valve cover. the hose going from the back right top of the cover over to the intake tube is the crank vent hose. make sure it's not clogged.
definitely do your compression test too.

Hey man... I know this is off topic... but I have a 2009 G5 GT and I was thinking about getting those headlights. Do you have any more pics??
I am going to guess that your motor is toast. I am guessing compression in one of the cylinders is roughly 115 or lower. Time for a rebuild!!
Again this is just a guess, a VERY educated guess, cough this may or may not have happened to me last week cough cough.

#1 take out all your spark plugs
#2 disable ignition by disconnecting the ignition harness
#3 disable fuel by disconnecting injector harness
put compression tester tube HAND TIGHT(NO MORE) starting in #1 cylinder and connect gauge. listen for about 6 engine cranks, check gauge. repeat for other cylinders

i can sell you a breather i got it from jegs ( high preformance) it go's into an ls1 but works just fine on our car's i have used it but now i am going to get a polished cap. pm me if ur interested
^^^^ carefull ^^^^ The PCV valve is actually in a cavity in the intake manifold! The hose comming off the valve cover has nothing to do with **** you can actually delete it and put a vacume cap on the intake and a filter on the valve cover... It looks nice too!
Always do a test on a warm engine!!!!!
