Exclamation Need help with Int. steering shaft!

I have the car up and trying to remove the steering shaft. I soaked it with wd-40 and let it sit for about minutes. I've been hitting it with a screwdriver and hammer but it doesn't seem to be budging. Am I supposed to remove where it connects to the rack first or the steering wheel?

Well, got it figured out no thanks to you bitchs lol. Just had to let it soak for a bit longer and move the shaft back and forth and it came right off. Overall it was pretty easy but there were a few times I had to talk dirty to it to make it do what I wanted. No more clunks and the wheel seems to shake much less over bumps.
