hey everyone, a few months ago i swapped out my 2006 2.4l cloth seats for leather ss seats and everything was fine until all of a sudden this chime comes on the computer and it says service air bag. now i am positive i forgt to swap a sensor or harness out from underneath my old drivers seat to the other leather ones i replaced them with. i have an inspection coming up in feb and i am positive this wont pass. my queston is , is their a simple solution? i can get parts cheap as their are a lot of local junkyards. any advice or insight on ho to solve this problem would b greatly appreciated, thank you.

 

All seats have the sensors in them so i would start by checking if the plug is connected under the seat.

^thank you for the link but i believe we didnt switch the old seat sensors out of the cloth seats and just kept what was on the leather seats, so the connections dont add up, is this part expensive to replace or do you think its easily and cheaply replaceable? any help and opinons will be great!

not 100% on ur situation but heres the deal, i swapped tc seats with different tc seats with someone. my old seats didn't have the sensor/plugs on the passenger side but his car did, and needed the plugs for it all to work, he was getting the chimes/airbag light on.

essentially we flipped the seat over and removed everything and swapped it all over. it wasn't hard to figure out, everything pretty much pops out/unclips. i think i had to swap seatbelt buckles too. so basically, if you need this stuff, i'm sure any 07+ cobalt in a junyard with a passenger seat should have it all! pm me if you need any better explaining lol
