No power steering
No power steering
My 2005 lsj has a abs light on all the time and I can’t clear it with a code scanner. I also lose power steering after a while of driving and the time from when I start my car to when I lose power steering is different everyday. Also seems like the longer the car sits the longer I have power steering. I know the car has eps but I don’t know what the problem is.
My gas gauge is a little off and I will gain or lose estimated km until empty or it won’t move at all for a couple minutes at a time. Other then that nothing but the “power steering” that pops up on the dash
Just wondering because I had a weird issue where my power steering will go out momentarily when I first start the car after an autocross run. It is also accompanied by the gas, tach, and speedo not reading. I've never tracked it down but I think I have a funky ground somewhere. Mine always comes back after about 30 seconds though.
That is a power steering motor circuit code. If that is the only code then you either need the Power steering motor or a steering column assembly. You only need the column if there is a lot of slack in the gears for the column. Unless your column rattles really bad I would get the motor first and see how it does. Also you need to inspect the motor wire terminals on the module and make sure they are not burnt.

Did he say what part was failed specifically, because inside the column is a torque sensor. If that is really the only code that is set a torque sensor wont fix it just to let you know if that is what he said it needs. I am a master ase GM tech and I know these vehicle inside and out. Id like to know more in detail on what he said if you can. Just trying to look out for ya.
