Noisy blower motor

I know some of you have this problem. Happens when its cold outside and makes all sorts of noise on speeds 1-2.

I had the dealer replace the unit today and have no further problems. It was the tight bushings causing the noise.

Its free so do it!

What kind of noises ar you talking about? I occassionally hear it when I'm idling at a light, but nothing other than that, except for the ever so pleasing whine.

my noise occoured mostly in cold weather. Sometimes it was faint other time it was farily loud. The sounds themselves varied, from a sqealing to almost a ratttle or tick. Happended at any time during my drive. It was totally unacceptable ina new car.

Same noise here. I'll send it to the dealership to get fixed eventually. I lost all trust in dealerships now, so I'm trying to only take it there for important things.

Probably gear rattle. Mine does it when cold and especially when using the brakes...when you let off the blower quiets down a little.

Dan

Another thing for the dealer to look at along with my intermittently working radio

Mine was making that squealing noise as well. I had the blower motor replaced and now its down to a "ticking" noise. I'm not sure whether to try again or just live with it....

Something similar happens to me. It's been in the 20 degree territory all week here, and my engine has sounded quite strange. Once I begin moving in 1st, the blower whine sounds incredibly loud, almost as if I am WOT. Once it begins to heat up to normal temp, it goes away. I assume this is normal, though.

Hello,

I'm hope someone can help me. my blower motor when turned to speed 3 and 4 begins to sound like it is being given to much power because there is a weird LOUD humming and then when i drop the speed back down to 2 and 1 you still hear it.

let me try and explain this a bit better,
When i turn on the blower motor on speed 1 it sounds normal move it up to speed 2 sounds normal
move it up to speed 3 then i hear a loud abnormal humming move it up to speed 4 and it gets even louder

from there i drop it back down to either 1 2 but the humming continues but keep in mind it didnt sound weird like that until after speed 3 and now i have to completely turn of the blower motor and wait about a minute before i can turn it on again so i dont hear that weird noise on speeds 1 and 2.

If i turn it back on without waiting a min i will hear it.

Any ideas?
