I dont have a cobalt but i do have a crappy 1997 grand prix and a few months ago it starting making this sound near the left rear wheel i think its from the fuel lines

Any ideas on what this is? I dno it could be reflected sound off the egine and just be a vacuem leak but i Seriously doubt it

 

It wasn't letting me open that link from work but could very well be the fuel pump. I believe they are located by the rear wheel in the GP's. Someone please correct me if I am wrong

 

yeah it is, but i see no fuel coming out of the lines i just hear the pump going ZZZZZZZZZz

 

does it keep making the buzzing noise or does it just do it for a couple seconds when you put the key in the ignition? If so, that's normal.....no biggie. If it keeps doing it the whole time the car is on...sounds like the pump may be taking a sh*t on ya'

 

the buzzing sound stays on, also i dno if this is normal but the engines sometimes revs then idles really low and does it for awhile one time it was revving up to 2k rpms
