not shifting into first all the way

this is one a 06 cobalt ss s/c. with 12000 miles. when i put it into 1st normal it feels like it doesn't go all the way. i can tell the clutch is slipping on it too. then when i go to shift to second as soon as i hit the clutch and put the slightest pressure on the shifter it pops out of gear. now, if i throw it into first hard and push forward on it it goes into first all the way. no slipping and no popping out. so today i was playing with it before i started it. when i put it into first hard, i can feel it make like 2 jumps into gear. not sure if this is related or not but, sometimes it wont even go into first unless i got from second then to first. also sometimes it wont go into reverse unless i put it in a different gear first. any ideas? still under warranty put i want to see what you guys say first so i know if what they tell me is bullshit or not. thanks for the help!!

Throw it in 3rd to clear the gears if it wont go into first. I have the same problem sometimes. As far as the clutch slipping.. It's just the shitty stock clutch that can barely handle the stock torque-- Not to mention the horrible slips the more modded you get.

the only time it slips is when it wont go into first the right way. other then that it doesnt slip at all.

not needed, i know how to drive, you shouldnt need to have to physically throw the shifter into a gear. especially on a car that is 2 years old and only 12000 miles.

Nah wasn't talking to you. I meant for the other guy who is ragging on the stock clutch for being weak.
