LOL I was actually about to post the same question...I orginally had a guy intsall a new downpipe and now the 02 sensor is missing..obviously the guy forgot to put it back on...The stealership is quoting around 200-300 bucks!! crazy..

So I'm with this guy..any good places to buy this? Also how bad is it to drive without it? I've done a little searching and I found a bad sensor or missing, can mess around with fuel mixture...??..

I think bank one is the one on the down pipe and bank 2 is the one behind the cat.

Can someone please answer whether or not this item is something I should worry about for replacement? The Stealership is saying without having the O2 sensor it messes around with the fuel mixture...but they wouldn't go into further deatails...any suggestions guys?

NO dont buy the cheap universal O2 sensors! STOP.... stop right now....

Get a Bosch o2 sensor.. and expect to pay at least 100 bucks whether its the upstream OR downstream one. Verify which one it is before having it repaired. otherwise its a huge waste of money.

Generic O2 sensors will never work properly, It costs a lot more in labor to have one installed (more like ghetto rigged) and they will still throw a CEL.

Get a quality OEM or Bosch one, and it wont bother you for a long time to come.. Oh yeh and labor hours on putting one in is less than .5 hours.. so expect to pay only 40-50 bucks in labor.

wow it may be more than an o2 sensor causing your problem ^^^^^^
o2 sensor is an emissions part and mainly just throws off the emissions system and a CEL, not your air intake. There are two o2's, before cat and after cat.

And it doesnt take 3hrs to diagnose that either, maybe 30 mins- an hour, including using the scan tool and testing the individual sensors
