oil filter housing drainback issue / pressure loss
hey guys, after my car sits for a while the oil drains out of the housing thus losing oil pressure. once sitting for 6-12 hours it will make a noise as if the chain were slapping until pressure is back. anyone maybe have this issue too? found a fix? 2006 cobalt ss 2.4l automatic. acdelco oil filter. 5w30 mobil1 oil.

Where was the filter made there are several different designs of AC Delco filters out there right now? The best are the USA made ones they meet GM's specs better but all of them should hold the oil in the housing for well over a day. Check you housing and see if the is a crack around the drain hole in the bottom.
