Oil leak after stage 2 install...

so yesterday after stage 2 install, i drove home and poped my hood to see oil everywhere, freaked out and called them back they said they probably forgot to push the dipstick back down (it was up) so no big deal, i push the dipstick down, and clean up the mess and call chris, he tells me that my intake manifold gasket is probably gone.... so later that night i washed my motor down....

today i installed my ZEX plugs (that i love btw AWESOME) and take it for another rip..... i come home pop my hood and there it is, OIL, but my dipstick was still down, it looks like its leaking out from in under the supercharger........ or block area....i cleaned it again, and took it for a rip, and its back again.... so this bitch is leaking oil. attached are some pics..... what do you guys think????

you cant really tell from the pics, but this is the areas it looks like its commin from

I would be willing to bet that the supercharger gasket was either improperly re-installed or damaged. Not a big deal as long as they get it taken care of soon.

what i'm tryin to figure out is why oil would be leaking outta the s/c gasket, i mean i didnt think there was oil up in there, i thoth the s/c's oil was self contained.....

The supercharger's oil is self contained, but when the vehicle is not under boost and is in a vacuum, it sucks up a little bit of oil from the motor itself. That is why it is a good idea to have a "catch-can" or "seperator" installed to stop oil from getting sucked into the supercharger. It will cause it to wear out prematurely and why they do not come with one from the factory is beyond me.

Here is a link to one.

sounds like the S/C gasket definately needs replacing.

Bet your glad you went with GM stage 2, instead of the cheaper ghetto version.

Good luck with it. hope gm fixes it up quick.

try checking your coolant for any abnormality's. if theres oil mixed in there it could be an intake gasket, or turn the car on and look at the reservoir tank to see if it bubbles to see if its a head gasket. It might take a while for the bubbles to come through the lines but they will come if its leaking.
