oil light problem

Okay I just got done replacing the timing components. On start up it was kinda loud and died down once oil got to it. Now I go to test drive it and the oil light comes on.
I checked the dipstick and it's fine.

What could the problem be?

Did you check the dipstick with the moor running or wait til it was off and cooled down?

I checked it with the motor off and hot? Now its just flickering on and off. Not sure if its the oil pressure sensor or not. The car was sitting for a month if that helps.

Check the oil when the motor is cold to see if the level has gone down then. If it is still within the acceptable range on the dipstick, maybe it's just the sensor

Had a similar problem on another car and it was the oil filter.
Oil light flickered at Idle only ,if the rpm was raise a bit it would go out.

New sensor, same problem. So I pull the oil filter out and Started the car and very little oil pressure was seen from that area. So next is to pull the oil pan and see if the pick up tube is clogged.

I will check the pick up tube tomorrow. Now I do remember tightening the little oil thing that supplies the chain with oil. Maybe it was to tight and cracked it?

Okay I found the problem!!! It was a clogged pick up tube. A paper towel dropped in the oil pan and got stuck in the pick up tube. Anybody know how to put resolved on this thread?
