Problems/Service/Maintenance Do you have problems with your new 2.0, 2.2, or 2.4L? What kind of service did you have done?

outside temp doesnt show on DIC

happened the other day. its a minor inconvenience, but it shows --- on the DIC. the mileage is still there. no CEL. there was one but my intake filter was misaligned...

Make sure the sensor is not unplugged. It's under your driver's side headlight, attached to the bracket. If it's just showing dashes like this -- then that's probably the case, or it's actually broken. If it's just stuck in the wrong temperature, it does that sometimes.... and it'll sort itself out.

oh that thing! i thought it was a ground to something. lol like the horn. ill def have to look in there. i started my car this morning and the headlight didnt come on on that side, BUT it works on high beams.

Mine is actually surprisingly accurate. Always within a few degrees of the actual temp.

Mine's usually pretty accurate, but every once in a while it will get stuck on a temp that is like 20-30* off. And Drew, ya check that plug, it's really easy to forget.

Mine did that two winters ago but then it was -40F outside!

Havent seen it do that since. I would bet you have a loose connection or a bad sensor.
