Just threw this today. It happened when I headed out of my garage. I checked it at murrays and cleared it . P0420 2 times. I cleared it and it has not come on yet in the 2 mile stretch.under hard accel or decel. I have had my HI FLOW down pipe by XTC on since November of 2007. No problems. I did however just switch back from my GM Stage 3 ECU tot he stock Stage 2 tune ECU last wednesday. We'll have to see if this fixes the problem by it being hotter out. A friend of mine at work said that with the moisture in the air and the change in the climate that this might have tripped it . He said don't worry about unless it comes backa again.

The guy i bought the down pipe from told me about the spacer that you put in place to prevent this from tripping as well.

I tried full throttle and the boost did not go past the normal level like it would if the cat was clogged.

So I will rule out the cat . I'll just have to wait and see . Tripping this code? will it cause the gas mileage to go down the tubes?
