p0420 code & HPT?

i have this code and i'm having trouble getting my car inspected. if I delete the rear o2 with HPT, will it take care of this code allowing me to get my car inspected?

there shouldn't be a problem removing the codes with HPTuners my friend... that's pretty easy to take care of... you'll just have to pay for the credits to unlock the car.

Well, if you have the code because you don't have a cat and they do like they are supposed to and actually check to see if a cat is installed, then no, it won't help you.

I believe he's got a cat... it's just high-flow... that and the rear O2 placement is off b/c of the header.

delete the code and you will pass. most places dont do the said visual inspection if it passes the odb2 test

no prob. i know from experience. but while your in hp tuners ake sure you turn off any codes you could throw. sometimes you forget about some

Just make sure that you don't just uncheck the CEL box. You actually need to go on the right hand side and change the error reporting to 0-No Error Reported. Ortherwise the code will appear when scanned but just not trigger a light.
