p0833 check engine help

AWHILE AGO: my car started acting up, the cruise wouldn't work, and RPM's wouldn't drop when fully engaged clutch. I replaced the old Clutch Safety Switch. It went back to normal.
RECENTLY: My car will only work normal when I remove the battery harness, to allow the codes to clear from the ECM. The Codes eventually stack and stack p0833, until finally i get a check engine light. Its no way to drive a cobalt SS, very shifty.
WHAT TO DO:
I will Replace the bottom switch again tomorrow with a new one. 5 dollars from rockauto
I heard there is a second Switch ,the clutch position sensor, where do I buy this online?
Can i replace it myself, and then just remove the battery harnessed to clear any codes?
Please help.

You have a LE5 not an LSJ.

The part number should be 22734989, thats pulling from another thread. Sounds like its near the steering column above the clutch pedal.

I already replaced this switch.
Is there a different switch up higher or something?

It couldn't be the same switch going bad in two weeks throwing the codes.
If I can get the codes to stop coming up I can drive normal again. Please help.

Just an update: I switched out the nuetral safety clutch switch with the old one and it does the same thing, so it works but my cruise still doesn't work. I have a feeling then that there is either A.) a problem with the connection to the ECM. B.) A fuse or something C.) I found out that loss of cruise control can sometimes be because of a blown out tail light or bulb. I will check all my brake lights tomorrow and hopefully I have some luck. Stay in touch.
