P2261 on recently tuned SS TC

Hey,

Got this recently. It comes on fo a few days and goes away for a few days. Been intermitent for 2-3 weeks now.

P2261 - Turbo/Super Charger Bypass Valve - Mechanical

I have not done anything special to my car. I gpt HP tuned about a month ago or so, but we did nto make any change to the engine bay. Should I take it to the dealer and see what they say?

This morning I was driving on the highway and was noticing the car was a little "buggy" when very low boost around -1 to 1 PSI...

Any help or comment would be appreciated! Thanks a bunch!

No I'm not.

My only mods are in my sig.

Is there any chance that the tune would be causing this or it definately has nothing to do with it? Because I've never seen this CEL until a few days after I got tuned.

pull the stock bpv and see if its torn... then spend 60 for a "rebuild" or 150 for a forge... i noticed a huge difference in the reaction between the two on my car... forge ftw

This is basically another "upgrade"? we keep the original setup but change the BPV?

And are you confident this is causing my CEL?

I had this code and I removed the Bypass valve tank and I haven't seen the code ever since. Look it up if its not your stock bpv.

I'm pretty sure I had this code when my vacuum tank went out.

See it's funny. I replaced the Evap Purge Solenoid and it ran good for a few days... then I get this code. Do you mean the Vacuum Tank?

Well I have a aftermarket BPV. I have replaced the Purge Solenoid. So I guess its the vacuum tank. Anyone have a part number for it?

Two completely different engines with two different variances of forced induction. Your ignorance never ceases to amaze me, you go be lazy with your car but please don't post advice in any more threads.

Op pull your bpv diaphragm and check for tears, if its fine route the vacuum lines to bypass the vacuum tank and see if the problem still exists. If not pick up a new tank.
