Pissed!!! Funking Furious!!!
I'm paranoid by nature. That said, the dealership I get service through (what I don't do myself), bends over backwards for me (Commonwealth Motors). When I take my car to be worked on I always bring my laptop and stay on site; might as well get a little work done while I'm waiting. Every 20-45 minutes I tend to walk out from the waiting area into the main bay (the whole service area is one open building), or around outside to one of the garage style doors to check up on my vehicle. I haven't had any issues yet.
Yea, my shifter top came off too, and i know of 1 other persons whos top is very loose and feels like it is going to come off. I think its a defect because i was driving when mine came off, it just kind off... slid off. it was really werid, i have the new one ordered and it is covered under warrenty. I'll just let you know tho, i thought that these things where adjustiable and interchangeable but the technitions at GM told me that they need to order the WHOLE shifter, a 600 dollar part!!! I had an apointment made to have it looked at and they said that the right part was ordered, so a month later and they call me to bring it in and a day later they call back telling me they ordered the wrong part and that it'll be awhile longer... so now its Oct. 18 and my oppointmetn to have it fixed it on thursday... 2 months and a couple days... for a shifter decal... depressing....
[QUOTE=pvirga88] I called GM and reported the dealership.

What's GM going to do? Can you get a new front spoiler installed and some type of a freebie for your trouble? You have to get through to a incident manager. When you first call in you talk with a customer service rep and then they pass you on to someone up the food chain. The lady I talked to was great and called me back a couple days later to let me know what GM was going to do for me.
You have to wonder how bad your oil pan was, did you lose all your oil while the ******* drove back to the dealer ship?
On your service receipt you'll notice a MILEAGE IN/OUT box on the top right corner. What did they list there, my dealer just listed the out mileage in both boxes.

" It used to be all about Customer Service... these days it's all about the $$$GREEN$$$ But for Warranty work, they aren't losing anything are they... they get paid the same no matter what right?
Actually GM sets caps on warranty work. They cannot charge for misc. items or BS like that.
That doen't mean that it's any less important to do a good job though!
