Possbile trans problem??..
Alright well heres a lil back story, I had my car up on jack stands all day to put the front lip on and some other things. Now after all was said and done I lowered the car and drove it out on my driveway. The battery died on me cause I had my stereo on all day so I was letting it idle a bit to charge it back up... Well while idling I happen to notice a new noise. Now I have NEVER heard this before so its new, but it sounds like two pieces of metal clanging together inside one another (best way i can thin,k of to explain it). I searched all over the engine bay listening for noises and determined it was lower end. I went in the car pushed the clutch in and bam noise is gone. Let the clutch out noise is back, so I know its clutch/trans related. My dad says its the throw out bearing.. its not loud but its noticeable and now its annoying me. Chalk another problem on my glorious transmission. First it doesn't like to go in gear now it makes noise...ugh..
So now my question what the hell could it be? and has any one else experienced this??

I was at the dealers the other day and he showed me a clutch that gave the same symptoms you described and the one spring on the clutch plate had broken,Im not a tranny guy but I think they are for the throwout bearing.

Holding your clutch in constantly will wear out your throwout bearing. So if you don't want to have to repeatedly replace the bearing, its best just to go to neutral and let the clutch out if your going to be sitting at red lights or in a drivethru etc.
