Problem with '06 radio/cd player

this is weird and getting on my nerves... I have over 8000 songs in the car (35 mp3 cds) so you get an idea how much music means to me and lately I've been having a problem with my head unit; The title of the song displayed is not the song playing, for example, the display shows "(In Flames) Dead Eternity" and the song playing is "(Slipknot) sic" but only like 20% of the time, most of the time everything is fine... it does it when I set it on random mode AND on normal playing mode and all my songs are in alphabetical order on the CDs so there's no reason to skip from "I" to "S".
When I play the CDs in my PC, they play fine, title goes with the song. I've noticed it seems to do this only when it's been playing for a while (at least 30 minutes).

Also, I still have some testing to do but, again after at least 30 minutes, the cd skips at every song, even if I go back to songs that played perfectly 15 minutes before, now it skips... At first I thought this is because I burned the CD too fast, so I'll do another cd at 2x tonight and test it out tomorrow (have a 2 hour drive to do tomorrow)

anyone else having this weird problem with the OEM head unit? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Get a Disc Lense cleaning kit and try that. They cost like $10 bucks at wal mart.

I have seen this problem once with an MP3 CD i used from a buddy of mine. I think it has to do with the way the CD is burnt. The head units are apparently picky about how you choose to format the CD when you lay it out and burn it. I don't know how my buddie burnt his CD, but I burn all mine the same and never have any problems.
