problem after problem

so i bought my car about 2 months ago ....sliped 3rd gear 3x times (low rpm) ....2 weeks ago i have a hard time getting into 1st nd reverse ...my cluch needed to be replaced ..so i replaced my clutch, fly wheel and slave cylinder ....drove good for about 100miles then i started havin a hard time getting into any gear and my clutch peddle felt like it had no tention ....so i got it towed to the shop...they said its the master cylinder ....(my problem is they should have seen this when they did the other work) .....

so the tech calls me yesterday and goes "we did the work on the car ...did some road test and everything seems fine but where going to keep it over night ,KEEP PRESSURE ON THE CLUTCH ALL NIGHT then run some test in the morning to make sure nothing goes wrong ....

what does he mean keeping pressure on the clutch all night .....
what does this do ....
is it bad for the clutch ....

feel free to comment !!!!!!!!

i hope my trannnys not going

awilson,

Is your car in at one of our dealerships? I'd be happy to call over, if so, to get more information on what they're doing. Please send me a PM with the last 8 of your VIN, name, phone and address, and name of your dealership.

Best,
Sarah

Probably means they are gonna keep something on the clutch pedal to keep it depressed over night. That would tell them if the master or slave is bleeding pressure somewhere and causing the clutch to re-engage without letting the pedal out. Wouldn't think it should hurt anything
