Problem with Auto start

So the factory auto start in my car stopped work today and I really cant figure out why. When you go to auto start the car The lights come on like it was started but the car just makes a clicking sound and doesnt actually start.

Any help would be great. I have no idea where to start with this problem.

You dont say if it works with the key.
So guess would be the-
Batterys had it. Charge the battery and then check the voltage.(probably shorted a cell and will only read 10 volts dc)
If its the stock one your lucky to get 5 years out of it

Ok so I last night I tried to disconnect the battery and reset the car. After I did this the car auto started but after about 1 minute it shut itself off. Im thinking maybe the battery is going bad and just doesnt have enough juice to get it started auto started normally. HMMMM I hate electronic issues with cars!!

Auto start is supposed to shut off after a while. It's only to get the car going while you walk over to it, not to keep it running til you turn it off.

The auto start should keep the car running for ten minutes. I have had an auto start on just about every vehicle I have owned I know how they work

Ok. Bad battery won't shut the car back off while it's running.
