Sound coming from cattalic

When car is on idle there this sound coming from the cattalyc convertor like if there something hitting a metal is the cat mest up or what is it

Could be heat shielding hitting, is it like a vibrating sound?

I've seen the inner collar break @ the welds inside the flex joint.

yea it's the thing in ur flexpipe. it is broken. it's only gonna get worse. best solution would be to buy a new downpipe 2.5" catted from zzp.

Flex pipe is the thing before connecting to the headers right cuz that thing starts shaking when it makes the noise ... And I was thinkin of getting a catless downpipe that will work to right

First make sure it's not a loose heat shield. Next, hit the cat with your palm. If it duplicates the noise and sounds like it's coming from inside the cat, it's broken on the inside.

ye i just did that and ye im pretty sure is the cat cuz when i hit it u could hear like if there something loose in there

either way just get a new downpipe. yes you can go catless if you want, ur car will just sound very different and if you have emissions testing you'll have to find a way to pass that.

i was thinkin of just putting the same downpipe wen ever i need the emission sticker because the (check engine light) didth turn on
