Problem. Need help!!!

Just to get this out of the way. I have an 06' cobalt ss/sc, it has 42000 miles on it. and I have not done any upgrades. My problem is if I go to accelerate quickly my car seems to stumble a bit, but if I am just crusing along and punch it the car is fine. I have already changed the air filter, fuel filter, and spark plugs. Some help me out here................. Thx in advance!

Okay...are you getting any cels? Get your obd2 port scanned. It really could be a ton of things; what did you gap the spark plugs at? Stock should be near .040. If an electronic component (maf, etc) is bad you will get a code.

It will accelerate fine but it feels a little hesitant when I punch it. The check engine light isn't on. What can I use to clean the MAF sensor with? Could it be something with a vacuum line?

I'm not sure you need to...usually you only clean it if your throwing one of the associated codes. It could be a vac leak, you can just swap the stock hosing and see if it works; around 25-30 bucks if you go silicone, cheaper with rubber.

was it always doing this or it just started to do this?? Becuase if you are punching it below 3k it is normal to get that hesitation since the supercharger is forced to build power at lower rpm.... So as far as i know your problem is normal.. If it does this above 3k then i don't know...

It started to do this about 2 months ago so I figured I just needed to change some filters and plugs. So I changed the air and fuel filters as well as the plugs. It helped some but it is still there. Some of the vacuum lines seem to have some cracks could that be the problem?

loose or leaking vac lines could definitely cause this...do you hear anything when the car is running?

you can buy mass air flow sensor cleaner at any auto parts store just take it out and give it a good sprayin inside and out also you could try cleanin your throttle body with throttle body cleaner that will help your idle as well. if that doesnt work i would just take it to the dealer and ask a tech to ride with you.

it may just need an injector flush, any shop can hook you up with this, it olny takes about an hour. if you stay, make shure they hook up a pressurized can directly up to your fuel rail service port. don't let them use the add to your fuel tank junk.
