Pulling under acceleration to the right

Ok, here is the chain of events for my 2007 2.2 Cobalt LS:

-I got new tires and a 4 wheel alignment
-I noticed the car felt like it was on 4 marshmallows
-I check the tires, they are all at 40psi
-I reduce them to the advised 30psi
-The floating feeling is gone

Then...

-I get an oil change maybe 200 miles after getting the new tires
-Immediately after the oil change I notice the car pulls hard (LEFT) when I accelerate
-It pulled from a stop and from any speed to the (LEFT)
-It does goes straight when going an even speed, no pull
-I take it to the shop that put the tires on and did the alignment
-They said the alignment it on, and they did not have adjust anything although they did agree on the test drive it pulled left.

After this...

-The car drove in a straight line under acceleration, for about a half week
-(NOW) it pulls (RIGHT) when I accelerate... What the heck?

The thing is, I have been driving this Cobalt for 3 years and it only started doing this recently in the past 3 months.

I would expect it from an SS, but not an LS in other words.

When I am on the freeway, I pull right just from pressing on the gas any more than 1/4 the way down. It is frustrating, and I feel like one of the mechanics did something to the car when I got the oil changed so I could come back and pay them to fix their sabotage. I might be wrong, but that is how I feel.

Did you try taking the vehicle to your local GM dealership? It is not clear if you took the vehicle to the dealership or simply to a mechanic. You can feel free to contact me through a private message with more information and I would be happy to assist you. It would also be helpful if you could provide your full name, address, and the VIN for the vehicle within the private message. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

My SS does this but it was because of my tires.

Someone also said it could be the tires, but if it was, it is a defect.
The sidewalls mush from the torque and pull me in the direction of the tire that mushes down more/ defective tire.
If this is the case, then the set of 4 new tires is culprit.
It is odd though, it only did it 'after' I got an oil change.

I am highly suspicious that they damaged my sidewalls of the two front tires.

Yes, it is a shot in the dark, but it is one theory.

Maybe someone who moved the car hit both front tires on the concrete divider and baaam, there goes the two front tires integrity. They look ok, but...

something smells fishy about this post...
I too felt that vibe.

maybe the people from IB reaching out towards chevy people? they do own like what, four or five other GM based car sites.

But it does seem odd. But as of right now, what harm could they do?

Great news, the pulling problem is fixed.

What an absolute horrible experience that was.
What is more lame is how the problem was not spotted.

My tire gauge seems to be the culprit.

I got a false reading, I thought the tires were filled to 30 psi, and in actuality, they were all 25 psi.

I have a new gauge and the pull is seemingly gone.

Odd...

The door jam says recommended 30psi, the manual says I believe 35psi... which is it?

I have ran on 25 psi for a while now, and now I know why my MPG dropped from 33 to 30.3, sucks...

You gotaa watch some places they like to muck up your tire pressure.
I had a tire hole pluged they put my tires at 50 PSI or so.
Youd think theyd be smart enough to open the door
and look at the little lable and set the tire to that pressure.
But alot of people just keep pumping air in until the tire doesnt
flex on the bottom. Idiots.
Also people need to check/set their tire pressure when the
tire is COLD as in first thing in the morning before driving it
for the day when it hasnt been sitting in the sun either.
Ok enough of my tire soap box.

Sounds like you have torque steer. Not sure what to make
If you have an LSD you could have a problem with one (Id say right)
CV Axle.

Yup tire pressure would do that.
I'd go by door jam.
My manual however says the same as my doorjam,
but, it also says
that if I anticipate speeds exceeding 100mph to set my tire pressure to 35psi
I know some people set theirs diffrent for raceing. But Im not that experianced
to be messing arround like that.

As a general rule we put 32psi in everything at the garage. As does the tire shop just down the road.

Check it when the tires cold really? Wouldn't it gain PSI once you're at regular operating temperature for the tire?

yeah it will gain a couple psi once the tire heats up. but yes you check and fill the tire when it is cold

I run 32 psi, cold.

If you're actually paying to run the nitrogen, then the fluctuation in pressure with heat, is lessened.
