I am just a few days away from getting a 2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged with 42k miles and in great condition. Before I seal the deal I wanted to see if there are any common problems I might run into. Some things I need to watch out for.

Sway bar links,but they probably have been done with that mileage.(Rattle in front end)
Check the pulley to see if its staged or has been and put back.
Stage 2 pulley came with blue bolts for the pulley.

 

check to see if the power steering motor has had any problems. A lot of people have had problems with the motor after putting 30k miles on it or so.

 

Easiest thing to do is take the vin # to the dealer and ask him to print you out a history report.
