Race Car Accident Sends One To Hospital

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. -- Police said a sports car was totalled along a Beaver County road Friday night.

A heavily modified Chevrolet Camaro was flipped over on its roof and the driver sustained injuries.

That driver was flown to an area hospital by helicopter.

WPXI photographer Dave Clark heard the accident from his Independence Township home.

He said the loud crash was proceeded by the car's roaring engine.

I know this car. My friend sold it 3 weeks ago. It was a Super Comp chassis car with a 632 cubic inch 2000 HP nitrous BB chevy. That Nimrod couldnt wait to go to the track and decided to test it on the street. The car is a total loss . Im not sure if the $30000 drivetrain is destroyed or not. WTF

 

brutal... we had a street racer do the same thing here in town yesterday... only he flipped his tiburon while racing an rx8... and this was at 8am lol

Wow, I just got bashed and didnt even do anything. Hahaha, It was kinda aimed at both. Hahaha, I just enjoy looking at ******* people crash their cars doing stupid ****. Hahaha, I laughed my ass off at the rice Tibby upside down in trees. So I say thank you for the pic and story!

 

I see people racing here all the time. I'll be sitting on North Shore and see people across the river doing races from a roll.
