Problems/Service/Maintenance Do you have problems with your new 2.0, 2.2, or 2.4L? What kind of service did you have done?

Rattle noise in engine?? Please help.

Exclamation Rattle noise in engine?? Please help.

Ok. when my car is idling the engine like gives off a rattle noise like it sounds like a rock slingin around inside the engine we thought it was the tensioner pulley changed it wasnt it. put a brand new supercharger in it. wasnt it. so does anyone have any idea wat it is or had this same problem?????? it only does it when its idling.

There is so much it can be and u cantrealy diag over th net, u should just take it to a good shop. Cauae for a fraction of the cost od th s/c u could know exacly what it was.

I have this intemitten problem as well and everytime I took it to the dealer it wasnt making it.

I will probably just change it my self in the fall.

It's definitely one of the pulleys. My other car makes this noise because of an underdrive crank pulley.
