OK so today I was doing the standard 50,000 mile check up as usual ( preventative maintenance ). I have had this rattling from the front end for about 2 months.

Crawled the full length of the car and examined the full exhaust system. No cracks, leaks, rips, tears or loose heat shielding. Besides the wrong exhaust system on my car. ( long story )

Came back up top to check the spark plugs, and found the rattling is coming from the aluminum coil cover plate . Took the T27 screw driver and torqued them to 11 ft/lbs. Drove the car hard for 5 - 10 minutes, Rattle was gone. Pulled into Autozone to grab some stuff and came back out it was rattling again.

Any ideas how to prevent this from happening ?

 

Try applying a small amount of blue Loctite to the threads
