Check the maf and harness going to the maf. Did you disconnect any of the other connectors for clearance?

I still have to laugh when people have problems with installing an intake...I did mine with a broken back and a six pack in me and no issues!

do you have the same intake? i only took off the headlight, thats it

anyone else have any thoughts? what if one of the rubber connectors was letting out air? could that be the cause of the problem?

bump

Did you upgrade to the LS4 throttle body without tuning it? Check all hoses in the engine bay and your CAI coupler clamps for loose connections cuz it sounds like a vacuum leak.

Well...the maf is only going to fit in the pipe one way and the harness as well.

I don't think a vac leak would do that...I had the vac line COMPLETELY off my intake and didn't have any power problems except a sucking sound that wasn't there before.

It's the MAF sensor man, make sure you have it in the right way else it'll do that and bog your car out if you try to drive it.

So i figured it out thanks to all of you. it WAS the MAF sensor, had it upside down. But the thing is that the bolts would only fit it you put it in the wrong way. i mean is that normal? WTF Rebal

that makes a whole lot of sense. God all this could have been avoided if rebel gave me some damn instructions with the intake!!! thanks RooTBeeR. Ill change it when i get my new headlights in.

is the chripping noise normal, or is that the intake sucking up air? sounds like i have a turbo, makes that sound when i change gears sometimes

by "chirping" do you mean that noise that sounds like air getting sucked through a straw? cuz just off idle mine doses that. and cruising with the windows down it also has a kinda "sucking" noise.

ok so that sucking noise is normal. I was worried something was wrong. Can I leave the pipe upside down? Will something go wrong down the road?
