Rear End Bump Clunk Noise
yes i've seen the post about rear end noise etc etc but i have never had this until this winter actually...
Lowered not a lot on the "buy in" stances, i originally chopped it up to cold weather issues, but it happens after driving awhile, and still even though we've had some warmer days(50+)
I havent had a chance to get under the car to check everything out, i should be able to tomorrow.. i'm thinking maybe the spring might be shaking on the bumps? i mean its not every bump just some doesnt matter if they are big or small... another idea is the powell sway bar came loose? i dont know any idea helps me check it out really.. one cannot be to through with their cars upkeep

Does anyone know the bolt size from Powell could chime in with the size that'd be great

You need a cad plated 10.9 grade bolt 10mm x 1.25 x 60 mm long , a shoulder bolt with at least 25 mm of thread. The torque is 50 ft lbs, the receiving nut is a mechanical lock nut, So sad to say if it fell out, you did not tighten it up and torque it. These things dont fall out, even in extreme service on the race track if properly torqued. If for some reason the mechanical lock nut plate is damaged, let me know I can send you another one with hardware, free plus shipping.

Well I'll see what I can find to put in place for now, so long as the nut isn't damaged...
If it is I'll just have to take the bar off, send you some monies and wait for the replacement hardware to get here....
And your most likely right, actually fully right I didn't use a torque wrench when I installed it... probably should have... and I'll be double checking the other three also just to be sure...
Just so I know should I just email Gloria(I believe I still have the emails from when I bought) if I do need replacement hardware?

I was surprised how much further I had to turn the bolts to hit 50 ft lb, I ran it a long time with just getting them as tight as possible with a 3/8th wrench. Never checked what they were before removing it to do springs (thought I had to remove it when I was still a noob) torqued them to spec after that (didn't even have a torque wrench the first time I put it on). Now I'm on a XXX swaybar and loving it, when I first saw your problem I though it would be the twistbeam bushings.

All fixed, I found a bolt roughly in the same specs still 10.9 strength but zinc plated I think....
All bolts torqued and the bar is solid again...
