Well here is another problem for us Cobalt SS/SC guys. I noticed a month ago that there was a rattling coming from the rear of the car. I traced it to the wing. I have just over 9k on it so took it to the dealership. They looked at it and determined it was the wing were it mounts to the trunk lid. They said there was nothing they could do cause all the bolts were tight. I talked to the service manager and he was very polite and explained all the steps they took even calling GM a couple of times. He said he was sorry but there was nothing they could do. He even said there have been a few other SS/SC's with the big wing having the same problem here. So what do you guys think? Anybody else having this problem?

 

most people probably do. the wing rattles and looks like it's gona fall off on the highway. i've been behind people and was actually nervous that it was gonna hit my car like in that old youtube video. that's one of the reason why alot of people take it off.

 

Whenever you open and close your trunk you have to be careful not to slam it closed by the wing. Maybe try taking it off yourself and putting it back on?

 

yeah I had that problem and it wa sbecuase when I did my wing swap fr a high rise I used some really strong double sideed tape and I forgot to clean the bottom on the wingon one side so it doesnt stick al lthat well so it rattles a lil bit,

the bolts dont hold it down tight enough all around you have to use some tough double sided tape worked for me

 

Could the rattle be coming from the sides of the wing where the cross beam of the spoiler slides in .If so maybe you can get it apart without removing the wing.
Not sure myself but somebody on the fourm should no if you can .
The sides look like caps but I dont know if they come off.
